Prins
are one of the major Dutch companies offering single and
multi-point LPG systems. Their single point systems are
suitable for most vehicles built up to that late '90's.
The AFS system:
AFS is exclusively used for export to countries where most
vehicles (still) have a carburetor, with or without unregulated
catalytic converter.
Preservation of engine power, reliable operation and excellent
cold start properties are the main reasons for the success
of AFS in export markets.
The AFS system explained:
This venturi system is connected to digital programmable
microelectronics.
The electronic system is self-learning. That means the programme
is continuously adapted to changing circumstances, such
as fouling of the air filter or a change in fuel composition.
An 'On-Board Diagnostic System' warns the driver of any
malfunctions. In case of a serious malfunction the system
automatically defaults to petrol. Just like AFS, AFS features
the ingenious reference system, which controls the LPG feed
on the basis of flow measurement in the inlet channel. The
reference system and the advanced electronics make AFS the
most accurately performing venturi system in the world.
Proof of that fact is the striking emission results.

The YPS system:
YPS is fully integrated in the vehicle's engine management
system. This means the petrol computer calculates how much
fuel the engine requires when operating on LPG!
The YPS computer converts the fuel flow demand into the
correct quantity of LPG; the gaseous fuel is then injected
into the inlet manifold as close as possible to the inlet
valve. YPS takes optimum advantage of the intelligence of
modern engine management systems and contributes to that.
YPS leaves the OBD system fully intact, but also has its
own diagnosis system. Of course YPS is self-learning and
non-adjustable. That is what makes it a highly advanced
and extremely reliable LPG system.

The
VSI System:
VSI is an abbreviation for "Vapour Sequential
Injection", the latest development from Prins Autogassystemen
B.V.
With this development a new phase has commenced for the
LPG and CNG industry. The system is fully integrated "master
- slave" with the petrol management system which makes
the system EOBD compatible so signal emulation is not required.
By injecting the LPG the same way as on petrol there is
no difference anymore driving on petrol or driving on LPG.
You will only notice the difference at the pump and benefit
the environment.
